I bought a Rome snowboard from a ski/snowboarding store in California sometime around 2006, a few years after Rome just started as a company, and was told that back then it was one of the best available (I think it was a custom/rare model). Unfortunately, it was later destroyed (long story), and now I am in the market to get a new one from one of the many companies out there.
Before doing so, I wanted to ask if my Rome snowboard was actually any good compared to what is on the market now? Should I be regretting that it was destroyed, or are there better snowboards out there now that make Rome boards pale in comparison?
Thanks to share your perspective so I can get over my unfortunate loss and look forward to something new and exciting!

Olympians and Junior World Champions have graced the ski cross podium in recent year at The BRITS but it was a host of teenagers which took centre stage today in an event which rewarded raw speed over cunning and tactics.

Day one of competition at The BRITS saw the UK’s finest amongst the monoliths of Laax’s pro line kickers, throwing their best moves for arguably the purest event in freeski - Big Air.
Just one big trick was all that stood between each skier and the national title, but once the dust settled it was Tom Greenway and Amy Clayton who walked away with the day’s golds.
